About the company
Aires, spol. s r. o. was established in 1995 as a producer of highly detailed cast polyurethane accessory sets for plastic models. The first accessory sets produced by Aires (for the Ju87 Stuka in 1/48 scale) raised keen interest amongst modelers around the world. Along with the most popular 1/48 scale, Aires followed soon after with producing accessory sets for both 1/72 and 1/35 scales. Encouraged by the overall success of their accessory sets, Aires then produced two complete 1/35 scale models of the World War Two LeFH-18 German Field Guns.
The technology of plastic injection oftentimes does not allow the manufacturer to reproduce extremely fine details. From the birth of the company, we have made it our task to surpass the limits of the injection-mold process, thereby bringing to the modeler the most highly detailed polyurethane accessory parts currently available. The majority of our products also contain frets of finely produced photo-etched detail parts for an even higher level of realism. We strive to keep our prices “modeler-friendly”, in an effort to maintain affordability and to maximize the modeler’s enjoyment.
Our efforts were rewarded several times with multiple golden medal awards at the largest annual European Modelers Fair in Nuremberg. We are deeply honored by such awards, but our first and foremost goal has always been the satisfaction of modelers, and to help them win their own awards at different modeling shows and contests through the use of our improvement products.
Our goals of bringing the finest detailed accessories to the modeler at an affordable price point remain unchanged. In the future, we would like to improve upon our technological capabilities, and to broaden and diversify our product line.
